Following in her mother’s footsteps, who donned custom to her own wedding, Haley was excited by the opportunity to play an active role in the design of her gown, weaving multiple sources of inspiration into a single one-of-a-kind garment. The bride dreamed of a gown that was at once ethereal, glowing in the natural light, and streamlined, reflecting the timeless elegance of her chateau venue.

With the bride’s residence in Bordeaux, France, the design developed over a series of remote calls, culminating in a comprehensive in-person fitting during which both the prototype’s details and anchoring volumes were altered and experimented with before arriving at their final form. The gown achieves the graceful synthesis of modernity and fragility : crafted from sumptuous silk-satin, the bespoke corseted bodice is softened by delicate tulle detailing, and the minimal fitted silhouette is balanced by the hand-pleated couture sleeves’ diaphanous volumes.
